SERVICE GUARANTEE POLICY:
Redo services: Notice must be given to Modern Salon and Spa within 72 hours of the appointment and the work must be completed within 7 days of the appointment. Modern Salon and Spa has the right to consult first and discuss with the guest about the appointment. If the guest would like additional work done that was not discussed in the original consultation, this would be an additional appointment and may come with additional fees. Because of our thorough consultation process, there are no refunds of services for any reason.
CANCELLATION/NO-SHOW & APPOINTMENT DEPOSIT POLICY
We kindly ask that all cancellations or appointment changes be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to show for a scheduled appointment, will result in forfeiture of your deposit and may require full payment in advance for future bookings. Late arrivals may result in a shortened service or, depending on timing and stylist availability, the need to reschedule entirely. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show.
Returning clients booking by phone, with no history of no-shows, are not required to place a deposit. However, new clients booking by phone must place a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Clients with one or more previous no-shows will be required to pay 100% of the service cost in advance to secure any future appointments. All online bookings require a 50% deposit at the time of scheduling, regardless of client history. Clients with a no-show on record must pay in full at the time of booking for all future online appointments.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we uphold policies that respect the time and schedules of both our team and our guests.
EXCHANGES:
We will gladly exchange an unused product, within seven days of purchase in our salon, for another product. Promotional pricing will not be extended.
GUEST SAFETY:
To ensure the safety of our guests/staff, and to allow us to give each guest our undivided attention, only the person receiving the service is permitted on the styling floor. All other guests are asked to wait in the reception area, as required by our insurance provider. Children are not allowed in the spa or nail area at any time and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
PAYMENTS:
Visa, Master Card, Discover, personal checks and cash are all accepted methods of payment. $25 will be charged for all checks returned for non-sufficient funds.
The pricing listed on our website reflects the total cost of your service, which includes a service charge. Our booking system divides the cost into two separate charges on our backend for accounting purposes. Please note that the pricing within the online booking portal does not include this service charge.
PERSONAL PROPERTY:
We provide smocks to protect your clothing during services, but we are not responsible for any damage to clothing, including color stains. Please keep your personal belongings with you, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
GIFT CARDS:
All gift cards purchased are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit. Gift cards can only be used for services and products available at Modern Salon & Spa and are subject to expiration in accordance with state laws. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards, so please keep them secure.
