Flashes of Hope www.flashesofhope.org Flashes of Hope is a nonprofit organization that creates uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The photographs, taken by award winning photographers, help children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it. For families of terminally ill children, it is especially important to have a portrait that preserves forever the bravery, grace, and dignity of their child. Modern Salon & Spa stylists provide hair and makeup to the children and families participating in the shoot.

Hemby Children’s Hospital, Hemby Intensive Care Nursery, and Blume Cancer Center Modern Salon & Spa regularly sends patients and caregivers gift certificates to enjoy pampering at one of our spas. Also, our service providers visit these areas to provide mini-services to guests while they are recovering or going through treatment.

Project Style - The New York Experience Modern Salon & Spa provided hair styling for Project Style- The New York experience. Project Style is a workshop for young adults interested in the Fashion Industry. Groups brainstormed together and requested our stylists create a hairstyle to match their vision.
